Nukwavic Mental Health Awareness Creation (NUMHAC) joined the University of Ghana Association of Psychology Students in a Health walk and Mental Health Awareness creation on the University's campus on the 12th March, 2022 during the walk, Students in the various halls were educated on Mental health and it's illnesses which was followed up by a convergence at the Psychology department where about 80 students were educated on Mental Health and Mental Illnesses with emphasis on;

  1. Definitions of Mental Health and Illness

  2. Indicators of Good Mental Health

  3. How to have good mental health

  4. Causes of Mental Illness

  5. Signs and Symptoms

  6. Management and Prevention of Mental Illness

The Team from NUMHAC comprised of Mr. Francis Yeboah, Mental Health Practitioner, Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Ms. Jamilatu Hussein Bancie, Mental Health Practitioner, Addiction Specialist, Accra Psychiatric Hospital, Mr. Victor Kwaku Nuamah, Mental Health Practitioner, Obuasi Government Hospital, and Executive Director of NUMHAC.

At the end of the event, the Participants were so grateful to the Association for the support in cash and in kind.
